Providing Quality Disability Services

Sunshine Mentoring supports people with disabilities and their families. We meet every day needs while progressing participant’s bigger life goals.

Let us help you

Person centered approach

At Sunshine Mentoring we put the participant in the centre of all of our work. We work on the understanding that the participants needs are paramount. Trust and respect are not negotiable. As part of fostering mutual trust an respect, we are uncompromising in our search for what is important to the participant, their family and carers.

Each person is given respect as a human being. We do not believe a disability is simply a condition to be treated.

What makes us different

We actively encourage our participants to engage in the process of hiring their support worker. Participants should have choice and control over who will be providing their support, especially relating to specific skill sets required and the person they would be comfortable with. We also provide a resume of all Support Workers to the participant, Support Coordinators and Case Mangers. Then ensures the participant and all relevant parties feel comfortable with the staff qualifications.

We prioritise creating meaningful matches between participants and support workers. This is based on various factors including the participant's needs, preferences, interests, and the expertise of the support worker.

We understand cultural sensitivities are important and wherever possible, seek to cater to your needs.

At Sunshine Mentoring, we develop goals with you, whether these goals focus on:

  • gaining independence / self sufficiency in everyday life
